What Is DFNS All About?

DFNS is a French-based cybersecurity company with headquarters in Paris and offices in New York, London, and Amsterdam, specializing in software as a service (SaaS), cloud solutions, and security infrastructure.

The DFNS company was founded in 2020 by four experienced entrepreneurs, namely Christopher Grilhault des Fontaines, Clarisse Hagege, Nore Rinnesjö-Eckerberg, and Thibault de Saint-Sernin. 

The mission of the company is to bring peace of mind and serenity into the DeFi space, by eliminating the risks and vulnerabilities that come with using blockchain technology, as well as to make crypto transactions faster and more secure and to improve regulatory compliance. 

At the core of DFNS' security infrastructure is a keyless wallet generation process based on the zk protocol, that allows e-commerce and fintech companies to securely store and send digital assets such as cryptocurrencies or NFTs (non-fungible tokens). One of DFNS' main features is that it allows developers and companies that own applications to deploy secure custodial wallets in a timely manner (usually a few days), using its proprietary API technology.

This gives platforms and apps access to seedless wallets using a simple integration that provides maximum security. DFNS currently supports 25 of the major blockchains available on the market, including Ethereum, Fantom, Near, Tron, Binance Smart Chain, Bitcoin, Cardano, Avalanche, Algorand, Arbitrum, Cosmos, Dogecoin, and others.

If a client wishes to integrate a blockchain network that isn't on DFNS' list of supported networks, that option is also available and usually takes under three weeks to be implemented. DFNS also supports integration for hundreds of the most popular tokens on the market.

Clients and Services: How DFNS Has Helped Secure Web3

Notably, the DFNS company has received $14.6M in funding up to date, with its last seed funding round held on Apr 13, 2022. The list of investors who participated in the funding round contains 18 venture companies and investors, such as Definitive Capital, Hashed, Techstars, Bpifrance, White Star Capital, Chris Adelsbach, and others. DFNS' solutions have been used by leading companies such as Coinbase, JP Morgan, Paxos, Metamask, Bitgo, Kraken, Galaxy, Blockfi, Figment, Fidelity, and ConsenSys.

DFNS supports a series of wallet integrations with various tools and protocols, some of which include:

• Defi Protocols: Uniswap, Wallet Connect, Aave, Curve, Compound, Sushiswap, Maker, Convex, and yearn.finance.
• Authentication: Dynamic (DYN), Auth0, and Stytch.
• Anti-Fraud & Phishing: Hypernative, Nefture, and Sardine.
• Nodes & Staking: Ankr, Figment, GetBlock, Kiln, Alchemy, Infura.
• Other Tools: Haruko, Index Coop, Ceramic Network, B2Broker.
• On/Off Ramp: Mt Pelerin, Ramp.

Aside from the integrations mentioned above, DFNS plans to offer additional ones in the future, which include AML/KYT/KYC, market data, and token issuance. In terms of pricing, DFNS is offering three main pricing plans, as follows:

• Basic ($500/month) - 5,000 segregated wallets and 2 policy approvers.
• Pro ($2,000/month) - 50,000 segregated wallets and 5 policy approvers.
• Enterprise (custom pricing) - Unlimited segregated wallets and policy approvers.
